The BEGINNING

This story begins in a little town called Oceanside in southern California. I was blessed to have two loving, hard working parents, who made it easy to pursue whatever my passions were as a child. One of my favorite things to do as a kid was play sports. I ran track, played basketball and football and until high school that seemed to be the direction my life was going. However all that changed when I picked up my first pair of drumsticks. (Insert "the rest is history" cliche here)

How I FOund Music

Okay so it was more than just picking up some drumsticks. I joined band when I was in high school and noticed that I was pretty good at learning rhythms. All I had to do was listen to it and I could play it back without a problem (so no Nick Cannon isn't the only person who can do that). I picked up drumset and piano the same way... listen and play it back. I stated playing in church and right in the middle of the first set I played in our Sunday night college service I knew I was going to make music for the rest of my life

Finding My Way

I knew music was my passion but when I came out of high school, I was so unfocused. Luckily while I was blindly making decisions God already had a plan for me in place. I was able to enroll in the Los Angeles Recording School's Music Production program after transferring from my local community college in Oceanside, and began to hone my skills behind the boards to get a better understanding for the whole picture of what went into a performance. I struggled early because I actually had to learn to read music for the first time in my whole life and try to understand frequencies and other things i had never heard of before but I was blessed with great friends and professors to push me through and I was able to finish the program in a little over a year and graduate with honors.

Shortly after that I began putting the knowledge I gained to use. I began getting call from people who needed a producer and landed my first project within a few months of graduation. I was able to work with local hip hop sensation John Gives, all the while getting opportunities to play at the Alliance Youth Conference and become the drummer for Jason David's latest project Dare to be Dreamers. Along with these great opportunities I have also been blessed to begin playing with another Oceanside product, Aquile, as his career continues to explode onto the music scene.
